The "cloud shaped pectoral" has been one of the most popular pieces of Germansilver man's adornment ever since that metal was introduced to Indians in the mid-1860s, and variations of the cloud-shape were seen on both the Northern and Southern Plains. Pectorals are still popular with male dancers today and may be suspended from a hairpipe breastplate or worn as a necklace pendant. Note: Stamped designs may vary from those on the photo example above.
